Man Pinned Between Vehicles at Recycling Center, Cops Say

He was taken to the hospital, treated and released.

A Manville man was pinned between two vehicles while working at the Somerset County Recycling center on Polhemus Lane Thursday, according to Bridgewater Township Police Sgt. Gregory Duane.

Anthony Durzo, 27, was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital by the Somerset MICU after the accident that occurred around 10:30 a.m., but was treated and released.

According to Duane, a recycling truck operated by Elizabeth resident Roberto Alvarez, 40, was backing into one of the bays to unload off Polhemus Lane, while a second truck waited to the left of the first truck, preparing to unload.

Durzo, Duane said, was standing in between both vehicles and he was struck and pinned in the middle of them.

Duane said the investigation into the incident has been completed.
