Husband Allegedly Confesses to Martinsville Murder

A confession has Attila Tormasi confessing to killing his wife, making son take fall.

A newly surfaced confession written in a 38-page document threatens to upend a case that found Martinsville resident Walter Tormasi guilty of shooting his mother 11 times outside their home, according to an article on nj.com.

The article states that this new evidence, which is prompting an appeal of the case, contains a confession from Tormasi's father, Attila, which says that he masterminded the whole crime, hiring a private detective to kill his wife over money and possible infidelity.

Walter Tormasi was sentenced to life in prison on the charges in 1998, but, according to the article, the letter says that Attila Tormasi let his son take the fall for the crime.
