No Injuries Reported in Milltown Road Crash

A car hit another that had pulled to the side of Route 22.

All parties refused medical attention after a vehicle struck a parked car on Route 22 West near Milltown Road Monday.

According to North Branch Fire Chief David Hickson, a vehicle had pulled to the side of Route 22 to use a cell phone around 2:30 p.m. Another vehicle travelling west struck the parked car, he said.

"Although both vehicles sustained major damage, all drivers and passengers refused medical attention," he said.

Still, Hickson said, the North Branch Fire Company and Green Knoll Fire Company were called to the scene because of a stuck door.

"The patient was not complaining of any injuries, but she could not get out of the car due to damage sustained by the accident," he said.

Firefighters were able to get the door open quickly, Hickson said, and the scene was cleared within 15 minutes.
