Number of Crimes Mostly Decreased in 2010

The FBI released numbers for all towns in the country, showing numbers of crimes committed in 2010.

Bridgewater Township had fewer crimes in 2010 as opposed to 2009 in almost all categories, according to a report released by the FBI Monday.

Out of the 10 categories looked at for crime statistics throughout the country—namely murder, forcible rapes and property crime—only the numbers of robberies, burglaries and arson rose since 2009.

Robberies increased from five in 2009 to six in 2010; the number of burglaries increased from 72 in 2009 to 80 in 2010; and the number of arson incidents increased from zero in 2009 to one in 2010.
