$1,700 Worth of Ralph Lauren Shirts Stolen From Macy's

Theft of Olympic shirts occurred last weekend.

Bridgewater Township Police are investigating a report that someone stole shirts from last weekend.

According to police, someone entered the store at around 3:33 p.m. Aug. 5, stole 12 Ralph Lauren Olympic shirts, exited the store and left in a dark-colored passenger vehicle.

The shirts are valued at a total of $1,740.

Erik Zamudio, of Somerset, was charged with shoplifting and possession of burglary tools after he was allegedly found with merchandise from .

The items stolen were valued at $23.88.

Zamudio was processed and released.

Police are also investigating a report from a Piscataway resident that between 11 p.m. Aug. 4 and 6 a.m. Aug. 5, someone attempted to hot-wire the ignition of his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Villege of Bridgewater on Commons Way. In addition, coins and perfume oils were removed from the vehicle.

Police said a Bridgewater resident reported at 6:44 p.m. Aug. 6 that someone removed a catalytic converter from his vehicle while it was parked at the New Jersey Transit Lot train station in Bridgewater.

Finally, a Doolittle Drive resident reported at 5:47 p.m. Aug. 7 that someone kicked his vehicle sometime overnight, and left dents and shoeprints.
