Police Investigate Theft Of $15K Worth Of Materials

Rims and tires stolen from six vehicles in one night.

Police suspect more than one person is involved in a theft of tires and rims from six vehicles at Honda Autosport last week.

According to police, the vehicles had been parked at the business overnight on Dec. 9, and the theft totaled $15,332.56 in stolen items.

According to Bridgewater Township Police Lt. Al Nicaretta, it is possible that the tires and rims were taken from new cars because they are easier and more profitable when sold.

But although no one has been arrested in the incident, Nicaretta said, he believes there was probably more than one person involved.

"Just due to the shear amount of tires stolen, this was probably done by three or four people," he said.
