Chief thanks public for help that led to identification of teen suspects.
Six teenagers have been charged in connection with a vandalism spree over the July 4th weekend, Police Chief Richard Borden has announced.
Charged with criminal mischief and improper behavior are Scott Brandle, Nick Fabiano, Tristan Harris, Jonathan Herrera, Edward Klitnick and Karl Szymanski. The teenagers, five from Bridgewater and one from Raritan, are all 18 years old.
On Saturday, July 6, a total of 43 residents reported damaged mailboxes and other property damage to police. The damage was centered in the area of Van Holten and Country Club roads. Some residents reported a large party in the area the previous evening.
Borden thanked township residents for cooperating with the police investigation and providing valuable information which led to the identification of the suspects.
All six are scheduled for their first court appearance on Aug. 9 in Bridgewater Municipal Court.
