Police report theft possibly involving six people working in co-operation.

The Microsoft store in the Bridgewater Commons reported the theft of software valued at $5,719 from the store on Oct. 19, police reported.

The incident occurred at 1:42 p.m., and police reported surveillance cameras recorded a group of six people who were standing in the store's packaged software display at the back of the store. The report notes the shelves can be seen fully stocked initially, but partially empty when the six people leave the area.

Police said no other people are observed in that area again until an employee goes in the back and discovers the missing software.
