Teenage Driver Ejected From Vehicle on I-287

18-year-old was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, State Police said.

An 18-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after she was ejected from her vehicle on Interstate 287 Saturday afternoon in Bridgewater, State Police said.

The woman, whose identity was not released, suffered a chest injury after she was ejected when her vehicle spun out near mile-marker 19 at about 2:40 p.m., State Police Sgt. Adam Grossman said.

The woman was transported to Morristown Medical Center for observation.

"The accident is under investigation," Grossman said. "The weather is a possible factor but it is too early to say if that is the exact cause."

According to the National Weather Service, between 2 and 4 inches of snow was expected in the Bridgewater area on Saturday.
