Water Main Break Shuts Down Finderne Avenue

Drivers are being diverted off a section of the road while repairs are made.

Northbound lanes are expected to be closed through the night on Finderne Avenue after a water main break shut them down earlier Thursday.

According to , New Jersey American Water is on the scene to repair the break, but it is not expected to be completed until at least Friday morning.

Police said they are not sure how the break happened.

Currently, drivers are being diverted at Fourth Street and Finderne Avenue by the , where the break actually occurred.

The road is closed, police said, from East Main Street to Van Veghten Drive.
