Wires Downed on Route 202/206 After Storm

Lightening strike leaves several high-power tension lines in the grass.

Workers were sent to Route 202/206 near Stella Drive after a lightening strike left several high-power tension lines on the ground and burning following a brief storm Wednesday.

One line was lying in the grass at the intersection of the two roads, and PSE&G workers came out to make repairs on Route 202/206 after the incident.

There did not appear to be any damage to trees or property, but police did not return a call for comment.
