Woman Struck by Truck, Driver Flees the Scene

A woman standing near her disabled vehicle on Interstate 78 in Bridgewater was struck by a box truck that fled the scene Thursday night, State Police said.

According to Trooper Dan Francisco, the woman was identified as Michele Milligan, 40, of Washington Township, who was clipped on the eastbound side of the highway at about 8:20 p.m. She was transported to Morristown Hospital with minor injuries, Francisco said.

The State Police were not able to locate the box truck as of 10 p.m. State Police did not have a description of the vehicle or license plate number, Francisco said.
