Bulky Trash Disposal Schedule Released

There will be three Saturdays when residents can drop off items.

Bridgewater Township has announced its spring bulky trash days, for collection at the location on Polhemus Lane.

Collection will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on specified Saturdays, and those who drop off items must have proof of Bridgewater residency.

Items that can be disposed of are rugs, appliances, furniture and household trash.

Air conditioners, refrigerators, tires, brush, paints, chemicals and electronics will not be accepted.

The area west of Route 206 is split into areas 1 and 2, and will have its disposal date on April 13. This area includes Bradley Gardens, Country Club and the Meadow Road areas.

Areas 3 and 4 can dispose of items on April 20. These areas are north of Route 22 between Route 206 and Chimney Rock Road, namely the Martinsville area.

Finally, areas 5 and 6 can drop off items on April 27. These are the areas east of Chimney Rock Road and south of Route 22, in the Thomae and Finderne areas.

For all items not included in this disposal, the township yard waste site on Foothill Road will continue to be open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Somerset County Recycling Center on Polhemus Lane will be open on a schedule that is published by the county.
