Bulky Trash Drop-Off Scheduled for September

Collection will be at 15 Polhemus Lane in Finderne

The township has announced the dates for the fall bulky trash drop-off at a new location in September.

Acceptable items that may be disposed are: rugs, appliances, furniture, household trash.

 However, no air conditioners or refrigerators will be accepted.  Tires will also not be accepted.

Other items not accepted are brush, recyclables except metals, paint, chemicals and electronics.

The new location is 15 Polhemus Lane. Commercial vehicles, including rental trucks, will not be allowed on the site during drop-off .

Those dropping off material must show proof of Bridgewater residence.

The schedule, based on location is:

Areas 1, 2 (West of Route 202/ 206 including Bradley Gardens, Country Club Road and Meadow Road): 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14.

Areas 3, 4 (North of Route 22 between Route 202/ 206 and Chimney Rock Road, including Martinsville): 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 21.

Areas 5, 6 (North of Route 22 east of Chimney Rock Road and south of Route 22 from Raritan east to Green Brook, including Finderne and Thomae Park): 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 28.

Electronic equipment can be recycled 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at the Department of Public Works, 411 Chimney Rock Road, Building A.

Acceptable items are computers (mainframe/servers), desktops, laptops, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, cables, wiring), toner cartridges, televisions (CRT or flat screen), telephones (cell phones, telecom equipment, handsets) audio/video (radios, home stereo, entertainment systems, speakers, DVD players, VCRs, gaming units, and cameras.)
