Elections 2012: Seven Board of Ed Candidates

Elections will be held Tuesday despite power outages from Hurricane Sandy.

Despite rampant power outages throughout the township, Tuesday's elections will go on as planned, and the board of education has seven people running for three open spots for three-year terms.

Incumbents Patrick Breslin, Cindy Cullen and Daniel Petrozelli are running against residents Aaron Kurdyla, Jacqueline Barlow, Taha Marhaba and Hany Mostafa

Polls will be open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Although many of the polling locations are without power, the districts are being divided around town, with a few districts being moved to alternate locations. .

The candidates discussed their thoughts on multiple issues facing the board of education prior to the elections, answering questions on budgets, contracts and much more.
