Elections: BOE Candidates Talk About Why They Run

The candidates for board of education answer questions about issues facing the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District.

With the board of education elections coming on Nov. 6, we thought it would be a good time to hear directly from the candidates themselves about the issues that matter to residents.

On six different days this week, we will feature video responses from seven candidates on questions concerning the budget, curriculum and communication.

The candidates are incumbents Patrick Breslin, Cindy Cullen and Daniel Petrozelli, and Jacqueline Barlow, Aaron Kurdyla, Taha Marhaba and Hany Mostafa.

For this last question, we asked the candidates to talk about why they have decided to run for the board of education.

Why exactly is Cindy Cullen running? What does she bring to the table? Her answers to the questions in this week's video series speak for themselves.

Have you been to any of the Board meetings??? I suggest you do so before castigating Ms Cullen - who happens to be independent minded and tends to look at issues in different ways. Cindy brings value to this Board and comes up with ideas that are unique. I challenge you to sit in on a number of Board meetings.
