Electronic Recycling Facility Open on Chimney Rock Road

It is part of the Department of Public Works facility.

Bridgewater is offering an electronic recycling drop-off location on Chimney Rock Road, particularly now that the holidays are over.

Scrap electronics—including televisions, computers, iPads, cell phones and other electronic items—are required to be recycled in Somerset County.

A new recycling drop-off location is now open at the township’s new Public Works Facility on Chimney Rock Road.

The facility will be open for disposal from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the dumpster is open to the entire county, not just Bridgewater residents.

These items can be recycled at the facility:

  • Computers—desktops, laptops, monitors, keyboards, mice, scanners, printers, copiers, fax machines, networking equipment, cables, adapters
  • Televisions—CRT or flat screens
  • Telephones—Cell phones, telecom equipment, telephone handsets
  • Audio/Video—Radios, home stereos, entertainment systems, speakers, DVD players, VHS video recorders, gaming units, cameras

The lack of Saturday hours is a real hindrance to using this facility.
