"BOBO Friday" Food Collection

The Food Bank Network of Somerset County is collecting canned or boxed food donations.  Personal-care items, including bath soap, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo and toilet paper are also be requested.  Donations may be dropped off in the blue "BOGO Fridays" bins located inside the main entrance of the county administration building during regular business hours.   Additional bins are located in the Library lobby.  Newly designated bins will be available at the Environmental Education Center and Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge.  Somerset County Park Commission headquarters will also accept donations. This "Buy One, Bring One" collection was launched by Freeholder Patricia Walsh and the program has collected over 4,000 pounds of donations to date.

Public drop-off locations include:

  • Somerset County Administration Building, 20 Grove St., Somerville
  • Somerset County/Bridgewater Library, North Bridge Street & Vogt Drive, Bridgewater
  • Park Commission Headquarters, 355 Milltown Road, Bridgewater
  • Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Road, Basking Ridge
  • Lord Stirling Stable, 256 S. Maple Ave., Basking Ridge

This month’s collection will help supplement the annual Curbing Hunger food drive.
