Republican incumbents Allen Kurdyla, Filipe Pedroso and Howard Norgalis are seeing re-election to the township committee in the November elections in Bridgewater.
They will be challenged in November by Democrats George Jones, Bill Metz and Mary Pranzatelli.
Monday was the filing deadline to run in the June primaries to be considered for the November ballot. Since none of the positions in the individual parties are contested, these six residents will be running for three open seats on the committee in November.
Kurdyla, Norgalis and Pedroso were chosen to run by the Somerset County Republican Organization.
Kurdyla and Norgalis will be finishing full three-year terms in November, while Pedroso will be finishing an unexpired term after he was elected in 2012 to take the seat vacated by Mayor Dan Hayes.
Jones, Metz and Pranzatelli were chosen by the Somerset County Regular Democratic Organization.
Jones ran as an Independent for mayor in the 2011 elections, losing to Hayes. Pranzatelli ran for committee that year as well, and Metz lost his bid for the committee in the 2012 elections.
Elections will be held the first Tuesday in November.
