New Mayor, New Administrator, Rest Stays Same
The township's annual reorganization meeting will be held Sunday.
Councilman Dan Hayes will be sworn in as mayor when the township holds its annual reorganization meeting Sunday.
The annual reorganization, and first meeting of the year, will be held at 2 p.m. in the municipal complex.
Hayes, after , will be sworn in for his first four-year term as mayor.

Also being sworn in will be councilman Matthew Moench, who was elected for a second term on council, and Christine Henderson Rose, who was elected for her first full term after filling a spot on council vacated by Somerset County Freeholder Patrick Scaglione in 2010.
The council will nominate a new council president, expected this year to be councilman Allen Kurdyla. Current council president Howard Norgalis said the members rotate between the position, which only lasts for one year, and it is “Mr. Kurdyla’s turn.”

The reorganization will also see the return of former township administrator , who will be sworn in to his post this year after taking a job in 2011 as public works and business administrator in Clinton Township. Naples will officially resume his work in Bridgewater Jan. 30.
Current township administrator Robert Bogart will move to the position of director of municipal services, a position he held before Naples left the township originally.
Other appointments will be made for township attorney and to fill any terms left vacated in planning and zoning boards, among other committees throughout the administration.
Appointments for township attorney, chief of police, township planner, director of finances and director of health and human services—all of which have contracts ending Dec. 31, 2011—are expected to remain the same, with William Savo, Richard Borden, Scarlett Doyle, Natasha Turchan and Chris Poulsen filling those positions, respectively.
