New Route to Sports Arena Starts Monday
Frontier Road access to Route 22 will be closed as part of new Route 287 interchange.
Workers heading in to jobs at the Frontier Road offices of Phillips-Van Heusen or New York Internet will find a new drive home from work Monday: Frontier Road's access to Route 22 will be blocked.
As part of the project upgrading Route 22, the intersection for Frontier Road at Route 22 is being closed at 9 a.m. Monday, according to an announcement sent by Somerset County. Instead, those heading to the offices there or to Bridgewater Sports Arena will have to travel to Thompson Avenue and Chimney Rock roads.
Access to Frontier Road from Route 22 will only be available by turning on Thompson Avenue, traveling north to the new three-way stop at Chimney Rock Road and the extension for Frontier Road at the Somerset County Joint Public Works Facility.
