No Bridgewater Race, But Primary Elections Coming

The primary elections will be held Tuesday for residents registered as Republicans and Democrats to vote for their choices to run in the November elections.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Since none of the positions in the individual parties are contested, the six residents who have registered in Bridgewater will be running for three open seats on the committee in November.

Republican incumbents Allen Kurdyla, Filipe Pedroso and Howard Norgalis are seeing re-election to the township committee in the November elections in Bridgewater.

They will be challenged by Democrats George Jones, Bill Metz and Mary Pranzatelli.

The only contested election in Somerset County, which include for freeholder and senate, is actually the governor’s race.

Running for the Republican nomination are Gov. Chris Christie and Seth Grossman.

Running for the Democratic nomination are Barbara Buono and Troy Webster.

Christie and Webster are supported by the Somerset County Republican and Democratic organizations, respectively.
