Pavement Repairs to Close Interchange Ramps on Route 22 West

The NJDOT is closing certain spots on the road for three days this week.

Because of pavement repairs needed on Route 22 West, several interchange ramps are scheduled to be close from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a release from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

According to the release, interchange ramps between Route 22 West and Mountain Avenue northbound will be closed in Bridgewater.

Two right most-traveled lanes between mileposts 38.8 and 39 on Route 22 West will be closed, the release said. And as a precaution for workers, the Route 22 West ramp to county road 527 [Mountain Avenue] and the county road 527 north ramp to Route 22 West will be closed during those same hours.

Detours are being set by the NJDOT to account for the road closures.

Those drivers heading to county road 527 north from Route 22 West will be directed to the Vosseler Avenue exit in order to make a u-turn to Route 22 East for the ramp back on to Route 527.

Drivers on route 527 north heading to Route 22 West will be directed to the southbound ramp instead to get on to Route 22 West.

The work being done, the release said, is subject to change due to weather conditions.
