The team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will take on Barack Obama and Joe Biden in November.
Ryan is considered a and is best known for his proposed budget, which called for an overhaul of Medicare. He has served in the House of Representatives for 14 years, and currently chairs the House Budget Committee and serving on the House Ways and Means Committee. In January 2010, Ryan gained attention nationwide after unveiling his “Roadmap for America’s Future.”
Some analysts call Ryan a "bold choice" because the congressman's selection is considered a controversial move and a departure from the "safe" reputation Romney has. Ryan has a long voting history on issues that Democrats want to run on—health care and Social Security, especially.
Ryan also has never run for a statewide ticket, according to ABC News.
Politicos have been salivating for weeks over Romney's running mate choice. The many names thrown around included Gov. Chris Christie, that he was interested in running.
What do you think? Did Mitt Romney make the right decision? Does Paul Ryan running as VP change your vote one way or the other? Are you bummed Christie wasn't selected after all?
