Poll: Romney Picks Paul Ryan as Running Mate—Your Thoughts?

The Wisconsin representative will run for vice president on the GOP ticket. Is he the right choice?

The team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will take on Barack Obama and Joe Biden in November.

Romney and Ryan, a Wisconson Republican congressman, teamed up in Norfolk, Va., this morning to make the official announcement, although details leaked out hours before.

Ryan is considered a and is best known for his proposed budget, which called for an overhaul of Medicare. He has served in the House of Representatives for 14 years, and currently chairs the House Budget Committee and serving on the House Ways and Means Committee. In January 2010, Ryan gained attention nationwide after unveiling his “Roadmap for America’s Future.”

Some analysts call Ryan a "bold choice" because the congressman's selection is considered a controversial move and a departure from the "safe" reputation Romney has. Ryan has a long voting history on issues that Democrats want to run on—health care and Social Security, especially.

Ryan also has never run for a statewide ticket, according to ABC News.

Politicos have been salivating for weeks over Romney's running mate choice. The many names thrown around included Gov. Chris Christie, that he was interested in running.

What do you think? Did Mitt Romney make the right decision? Does Paul Ryan running as VP change your vote one way or the other? Are you bummed Christie wasn't selected after all?

Vote in our poll and tell us in the comments.

Harry Reid isn't running for President. Why does Obama have to release his college transcripts when Romney won't even release his tax returns. I'm pretty sure he got a scholarship to college too.

I'm pretty sure he means he wants to give it back to white people, because he thinks that Obama is only interested in helping black people. Typical right-wing racist bullshit.

Idiot, 2.5 mil means less to Romney as that 33% means to the guy who made 30k.

Bob Of course it sounds outragous, but so did 911 before it happened. http://bossip.com/626755/illinois-congressman-wants-to-dead-political-correctness-claims-muslims-in-america-are-a-bigger-threat-now-than-after-911/
Roll Back Our Tax August 31, 2012 at 04:54 PM
Read between the lines. They will be creating 250000 jobs and even stated that if people want they can go and get a second job- Impressive. Get ready!!!! Experience at Bain capital will help export the rest of the high paying jobs abroad and As united Americans we can work two jobs to put food on the table. Promise!!!!He will not raise taxes on the middle class. Work two jobs and pay the taxes you are paying now, subsidizing American businesses who are already moving tax bases to Ireland and Bermuda to evade taxes. They will get a tax break for the Income generated in USA using our infrastructure. But promise - No tax break for the middle class. The base is safe in Bermuda cuz that where Romey's investments are. Better Idea- give tax breaks for small business for a period of five years if they can keep being profitable. Follow the lead of the Canadians and demand big businesses sitting on hoards of money and tax them 50% or more if they did not put that money to use within 3 years of successful accumulation. Surely hoards of money wasting way will not create jobs. That will be the Economic Damage tax for the damage done by big business sitting on idle money. Romeys money will come back to the USA for investing here- USA, the greatest country of opportunity and give more money back to the middle class where they can get it moving and our friend Bernake will not have to print more money. What do you think??????? Now onto the next set of lies w/Democratic Convention.
