Township Elections Uncontested in Primaries

Both Republican and Democratic candidates are running uncontested.

The 2012 elections will feature one open seat on the township council—and only one candidate from each party is preparing to run in the primaries.

The only open seat on the council this year is currently held by , who was appointed in January to fill an unexpired term after Dan Hayes was elected mayor this year. He is running in the primaries to represent the Republican Committee in the November elections to complete Hayes' term.

William Metz, of Shannon Road, is running as the Democratic candidate against Pedroso in the November elections.

Both candidates are running uncontested in the primaries, which will be held June 5.
