Township Issues Renewals for Liquor Licenses

After determining that there were no issues with the applications, the township council approved a consent agenda Thursday that allowed for the renewal of liquor licenses in the township for 2012 through 2013.

Council members ensured that there were no problems with any of the businesses requesting renewals.

“There is nothing substantial to report,” said Linda Doyle, township clerk.

According to the resolution, all applications were filed appropriately, and tax clearance certificates were received.

The fire official, health officer, construction code official and police department have not expressed concerns about any of the renewals.

The township has a total of 36 businesses with liquor licenses.

Those receiving the renewal are:

• Raritan Valley Country Club, on Route 28
• Gerald Abrego Post $327 American Legion, on Old York Road

• Chimney Rock Inn, on North Thompson Avenue
• McCormick & Schmick, on Commons Way
• Club 21, on East Main Street
• Fratelli’s Restaurant, on Washington Valley Road
• Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, on Route 202 South
