A Big Day for the Littlest Graduates

The Class of 2011 graduates from The Preschool Place & Kindergarten.

More than 100 parents, siblings and grandparents armed with cameras, flowers, balloons and tissues gathered Friday to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2011 at  at Temple Sholom.

More than 25 4-year-olds, decked out in red mortarboards with blue tassels, walked into Temple Sholom to the strains of “Pomp & Circumstance” and circled the crowd before taking their seats on stage. They were accompanied by teachers Christine Clark, Leona Lombardi, Karen Kalman and Holli Koury.

Director Carol Rubnitz welcomed the audience.

The graduates entertained the audience with several musical selections, including “The Preschool Place,” “ABC Rock” [with the children playing air guitar], “The World is a Rainbow,” “The Goldfish,” “ABC Farewell” and “I’ve Been Going to My Preschool.”
