The board of education honors the boys varsity lacrosse team.
Parents and teachers rose in applause as the was honored during Tuesday's board of education meeting, the first sports achievement ever recognized publicly by the board.
The lacrosse team had an amazing upset Saturday, defeating two-time champion Summit in the Tournament of Champions, and taking the title.
