Bradley Gardens Takes On One Million-Minute Challenge

Submitted by BREA

This year Bradley Gardens took on the one million-minute challenge to promote literacy achievement. Student progress was tracked on a bulletin board and celebrated at monthly school-wide meetings.

Students earned one raffle ticket for each 10 hours that they read. Students all year won prizes if their names were pulled from the bucket.  During the last week of school, Bradley Gardens met the challenge with a grand total of 1,007,108 minutes read by all the students of the school!

The raffle was held and one student is the lucky winner of a digital reader device. Mrs. Binford and her staff are extremely proud of the Bradley Gardens students for accomplishing this goal.
