Bridgewater-Raritan High Students of Week, Jan. 11

Students are chosen to be honored at the high school.

As part of a new program at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School instituted by new principal Brett Charleston, at least one student is chosen every week to be honored for his or her contributions to the community at some point that week.

In this new column, we will honor those students each week, with the information included in Charleston's weekly principal's column, on the school's website.

Congratulations to the most recent honorees!

  • Jillian Cook—(nominated by Joann Pellegrino and Jessica Mazzone) Cook befriends students who are feeling a bit left out. Cook noticed a fellow student from class sitting alone at lunch and promptly asked her to join her table of friends. She is outgoing to all students and always displays kindness and has a welcoming smile for all.
  • Arshane Brown-Warfield—(nominated by Laura Hnasko) Brown-Warfield gave his umbrella to another student whose umbrella was broken. It was a day that was very stormy and the student whose umbrella was broken was visibly upset. He immediately offered his umbrella and told the other student he could keep it. He is always genuinely concerned for his classmates’ feeling and is very polite.
