Bridgewater-Raritan Teachers, Staff Honored for Service

Teachers and staff throughout the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District are being honored for their service to the schools.

“These awards are developed for the purpose of acknowledging teachers,” said Cheryl Dyer, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. “I am happy to announce the recipients of the awards.”

All the recipients will be honored at a gala in May, sponsored by the Bridgewater-Raritan Education Association.

The Bridgewater-Raritan Teacher of the Year Award was created to acknowledge teachers for outstanding performance in their schools.

The honorees are:

• Leslie Cook—Intervention Specialist, Adamsville Primary School
• Nancy Bohen—Grade 2 Teacher, Bradley Gardens Primary School
• Dayna Garofalo—Grade 3 Teacher, Crim Primary School
• Sharon Fargo—Speech/Language Specialist, Hamilton Primary School
• Marisa Keenan—Special Education Teacher, John F. Kennedy Primary School
• Annemarie Mattia—Elementary Teaching Specialist, Milltown Primary School
• Courtney DeRosa—Grade 4 Teacher, Van Holten Primary School
• Barbara Strobel—Grade 5 Teacher, Eisenhower Intermediate School
• Connie Fischer—Grade 6 Language Arts Teacher, Hillside Intermediate School
• Sean Casey—Mathematics Teacher, Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School
• Denise Cimpko-Beller—English Teacher, Bridgewater-Raritan High School

The Bridgewater-Raritan Distinguished Service Award is to honor all staff members, except administrators, who enhance the reputation of the school district.

The honorees are:

• Christina Longo—Teacher Assistant/LLD, Van Holten Primary School
• Stephen Fenton—Health & PE Teacher, Eisenhower Intermediate School
• Stefanie Chenkin—Speech/Language Specialist, Hillside Intermediate School
• Chester King—Industrial Technology Teacher, Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School
