IN SHORT

The Panther offense and defense dominated this game as the field seemed tilted toward the Mountaineers' goal. Whenever the Mountaineers tried to mount an attack, there was always a Panther in the passing lane turning the play back around.

Yaney opened the scoring for the Panthers less than two minutes into the game. As it turned out, it was the only goal the Panthers needed as goalkeeper Christen Piersanti shut out the Mountaineers.

Caro led the way for the Panthers with two goals and an assist and was named tournament MVP.

“As a team we played great today," Caro said. “Today was a whole team effort passing to each other. It just wasn’t one person doing it all, everyone was involved.”
