Schools, State Offices Closed Wednesday After Storm

Officials choose to stay closed after storm as temperatures drop and area residents dig out after snow.

Bridgewater-Raritan Regional schools have a snow day Wednesday, after officials determined road and weather conditions were too unsafe.

Officials initially called for a two-hour delay, but changed the plan to a snow day early Wednesday.

The weather forecast is calling for a high of about 15 degrees Wednesday, but wind chills will make it feel near or below zero for most of the day. The cold front follows Tuesday's snow that dropped about eight to 10 inches of snow in the area.

The storm also caused state officials to close all state offices on Wednesday, as well as Somerset County senior centers.
