Diaz Shoots 74, Finishes Second in Skyland Tournament
Despite strong individual effort, Panthers finish last in the Delaware Division.
Bridgewater-Raritan sophomore Dominic Diaz shot 2-over par at the Skyland Conference Golf Championships Thursday at Neshanic Valley Golf Course, helping the team complete a six-stroke improvement over the Somerset Tournament on the same course.
But the Bridgewater-Raritan High School boys golf team still finished in last place with a team score of 332.
Diaz led the way for the Panthers, shooting a 74. His score placed him second in the individual standings, one behind the overall individual winner, sophomore Luke Graboyes, of Watchung Hills.

Diaz finished the front nine with a birdie on the 520 yard par 5 ninth.
“My back nine wasn’t as good," he said. "I double bogied the 13th [the 404 yard par 4 fourth hole on the Lake Course], which killed me.”
