National Solar Tour - Alteris Renewables at Central Moving Systems

Bridgewater's Central Moving Systems is hosting a stop on on this year’s 15th annual National Solar Tour.  Saturday October 1st, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by to speak with solar experts to learn more about solar power.  It is the world’s largest grassroots solar event, with expected participation of over 150,000 people in 49 states.

Alteris Renewables, a Real Goods Solar Company, recently comissioned the 188kW roof mounted photovoltaic system consisting of 660 Sun Tech STP-285 watt solar panels. The system is estimated to produce 203,015Wh annually and offset approximately 87% of the facility’s electric usage.
In addition to making Central Moving’s operations more sustainable and its utility costs more predictable, the array also has a positive impact on the business’ carbon footprint. The clean energy produced has an environmental benefit comparable to planting 90,334 trees or removing 27 passenger vehicles from the road each year.
