Somerset County Business "Call to Service" Conference

The Citizens' Campaign and Somerset County Business Partnership announced today a Somerset County Business "Call to Service" Conference on November 1st  that will bring elected officials, business leaders and citizens together to teach participants how to take powerful leadership roles in their local and county governments and school districts and win adoption of waste-cutting proposals.

The Somerset County Business "Call to Service" Conference will be held on Monday, November 1st from 1pm to 4pm at Raritan Valley Community College and is open to the public.

Michael Kerwin, President of the SCBP said, "The Call to Service is a call to the Business Community to bring their skills and business savvy to the service of our towns and county."

Citizens' Campaign Chairman Harry Pozycki said, "The Somerset County Business "Call to Service" will arm participants with insider knowledge and the skills necessary to effectively tackle the fiscal problems facing our towns and counties."

The mission of the Jersey Call to Service is to inspire citizens to participate in the leadership of their communities and replace our culture of political self-interest and government waste with a culture of service and frugality.

Somerset County Freeholder Director Jack Ciattarelli will present Somerset County's cost-cutting initiatives and Verizon New Jersey President Dennis Bone will lead a panel discussion on corporate citizenship. A keynote address will be provided by Campbell Soup Vice President Kelly Johnston.  Many more speakers to be announced.
