The new year has begun, as has the new marching band season, beginning with the first football game Friday, and the first competition Saturday, during which the band won several awards.
The band began practicing over the summer, learning the music and doing drills to practice marching, while the colorguard practiced as well.
With students from all four grades in the high school, the band works consistently to perfect its show each year.
