Important School Dates to Remember

School is only a week away, and that means everything will be beginning again, from the first day jitters to back-to-school nights and so much more.

So to get everyone fully ready, we present dates to know as the school year kicks off.

Aug. 30—Freshman Orientation

Freshman orientation will be held at the , with students with last names beginning A through L coming in at 10 a.m., and students with last names beginning M through Z coming in at 1 p.m. All students should bring a copy of their schedule to orientation, and report to the auditorium

Sept. 4—Teachers Report for First Day, 5th Grade Open House

All teachers are reporting to their individual schools for their first day, before students come to school.

will be holding its open house for parents of fifth grade students, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Sept. 5—First Day of School for all Students

School is beginning on Sept. 5, when all students will report to their respective schools for a full day. At BRHS, class will begin at 7:20 a.m.; at , school begins at 7:35 a.m.; at the intermediate schools, classes begin at 9:05 a.m.; and at the primary schools, school begins at 8:35 a.m.

Sept. 8—Crim Back-to-School Carnival

will be holding its PTO Back-to-School Carnival from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Sept. 10—Freshman Orientation, Parent Meeting

The high school will host a meeting at 7 p.m. for parents of freshman in the auditorium, to discuss the year ahead.

Sept. 11—Underclassmen Portraits

The high school will have photos for grades 9 and 10, all being done throughout the day.

A senior class group photo will also take place at Basilone Field at 1:40 p.m.

Sept. 12—More Photos, Back-to-School Night, Hillside Homeroom Parent Meeting

Grade 11 students will take their high school photos, and seniors will take their ID photos during the day.

The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School will be holding its back-to-school night for grade 7 students, at 7 p.m.

Sept. 13—Back-to-School Night

The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School will be holding its back-to-school for grade 8 students, at 7 p.m.

Sept. 17—School Closed

The district will be closed for the first day of Rosh Hashanah.

Sept. 19—Back-to-School Night

The high school will hold its back-to-school night at 7 p.m. for grades 9 and 10. Parents should be reporting to their child’s first period class at the beginning of the event.

Sept. 20—Back-to-School Night

The high school will hold its back-to-school night at 7 p.m. for grades 11 and 12. Parents should be reporting to their child’s first period class at the beginning of the event.

Sept. 24—Back-to-School Nights

will be holding its back-to-school night for sixth grade parents.

Crim Primary School will be holding its back-to-school night for parents of students in all grades from 6:45 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.

Sept. 26—School Closed

The district will be closed for Yom Kippur.

Sept. 27—Back-to-School Nights

will be holding its back-to-school night for parents of students in grades kindergarten and two at 7:30 p.m.

Hamilton Primary School will also be holding its back-to-school night for grades three and four at 7 p.m.

Adamsville Primary School will be holding its back-to-school night for parents of students in grades three and four at 6:30 p.m.

Oct. 1—Back-to-School Night

Eisenhower Intermediate School will be holding its back-to-school night for fifth grade parents.

Oct. 2—Back-to-School Night

Van Holten Primary School will be holding its back-to-school night for parents of students in grades three and four at 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 3—Back-to-School Nights

Hillside Intermediate School will be holding its back-to-school night for fifth grade parents at 6:30 p.m.
