Ruskin 2nd at County Cross County Championship
Bridgewater girls place fifth, boys finish sixth at Natirar Park.
junior Marisa Ruskin finished second in the Somerset County cross country championship meet Friday afternoon at Natirar Park in Peapack.
Junior Matt Leventhal was the top finisher for the boys, placing 22nd with a time of 17:05
In the team race, the girls placed fifth and the boys sixth.

“We have a relatively inexperienced team this year with only two girls than ran cross-country last year," girls head coach Rich Marton said. “Marisa [Ruskin] and Meri [Steinmetz] had good races today. Not everyone ran a personal best today and if you look at how competitive the race was and how close the scores were it doesn’t take much to move up or down."
The Panthers will return to Natirar Park next Thursday for the Skyland Conference Championships.
