Martin Luther King Honored By Bridgewater Students

Fifth- and sixth-graders volunteer to perform activities in the area.

Students from the Hillside Intermediate School donated their time and creative talents to others as part of their celebration of Martin Luther King's birthday.  About 100 fifth- and sixth-grade students volunteered to do a number of activities throughout the Bridgewater area.

While some of the students were bussed to the Agape House, Avalon Assisted Living and the Pregnancy Center, still others worked on Hillside Habitats. Another group of about 50 performers gave a Variety Show at Chelsea Assisted Living.

The show at Chelsea Assisted Living culminated in a birthday celebration for 100-year-old resident Thelma Stukes, who marched with Dr. King in 1963.
