You may have noticed an increase in police presence around Route 28 during bus pick up and drop off times.  This increased presence is in response to reports of an unknown white male aged approximately 30-40 years of age driving a maroon four door car.  This individual was seen making faces at a female student at approximately 7:40 am on February 6th and 7th.  The same individual was also present on February 8th at about 3:40 pm.  No contact was attempted with the student on the 8th.  A similar report was also made by the Somerville police on January 31st.  The individual in the Somerville incident was also driving a 4-door maroon car and was described as a white male with brown hair and a full beard.  The man in Somerville asked a Somerville Middle School aged girl to get into his car.  The police have increased their vigilance and would like everyone to be aware of the incident.  If you happen to see something suspicious, please contact the Branchburg Township Police at 908-526-3830.  If the situation appears to be urgent, please call 911.
