Poll: How Much Budget Info Will Be Available?

The question arose if school elections are moved to November.

At , Councilman Matthew Moench asked whether the board of education will continue its detailed information sessions about the yearly budget if elections are moved to November—and we want to know what you think.

Each year, school budget discussions begin in December, with several information sessions held at meetings, followed by discussions in front of the school PTOs and the municipalities.

President Evan Lerner said that if the elections are moved to November, he sees no reason why the administration would change how it shares the details of the budget.

The budget will not be voted on if the elections are moved to November—unless the exceed the 2 percent state mandated cap—and the board is expected to vote on the move either Feb. 14 or Feb. 16.
