Power Out at Crim Primary

The school will end at its regularly scheduled time Wednesday.

Power is out at Crim Primary School Wednesday after a tree fell in the parking lot this afternoon, taking out power lines to the school.

According to a message from Superintendent of Schools Michael Schilder, the tree fell on two cars in the parking lot, and took down the lines in the process.

"Students and staff are fine," he said in the message.

Schilder said in the message that some lights in the building are out, as are the phones and computers.

Dismissal will be at normal time, Schilder said, although access to Crim Road from Washington Valley Road is blocked. The only access, he said, is by way of the Mountaintop end of Crim Road.

"Dismissal may be more congested and take longer than usual, and therefore buses may be late arriving at homes this afternoon," he said in the note.
