was alive with artists, from kindergarten through college-bound seniors showing their works Wednesday. Hundreds of pieces were on display throughout the school, and discribed by the district's art teachers and the students themselves.
"There are a lot of different types of art here: 2D, 3D, portraits through landscapes and all types of interpretations," said Leonard Herman, supervisor of fine and practical arts for the district. "It is just a great program."
"This is a really strong program for students K through 12," added middle school art teacher Mary Kate Ambrose. "It makes it great for us to track our students' work from kindergarten to high school, and it is great to see them grow as artists. The senior work is amazing, and it includes kids I had in sixth, seventh and eighth grade. It is great to see."
