Sullivan Plays Major Minutes at TCNJ

Ryan Sullivan carves out role with TCNJ men's soccer team.

2011 Immaculata graduate, and Bridgewater native, Ryan Sullivan entered his freshman season playing on a stacked men's soccer team at The College of New Jersey.

Despite the team not qualifying for the New Jersey Athletic Conference [the team was picked second in preseason], the five-foot-eleven backer—Sullivan played midfield primarily at Immaculata—started eight games this season out of the 16 he played.

TCNJ went 5-8-4 this season. The record is a bit misleading because the team lost two games in overtime and three others by one goal.

On top of playing solid defense, Sullivan notched his first career goal on Oct. 12 in the team’s eventual 3-2 overtime loss to William Paterson University. Sullivan’s goal gave his team a 2-1 lead in the contest.

TCNJ loses seven seniors off this year’s team, and Sullivan will no doubt play a big role in the team’s resurgence next season.
