The Pingry School Graduates 132 at 150th Commencement

On Sunday, The Pingry School celebrates commencement for 132 graduates in the class of 2011 from throughout the region.

The Pingry School celebrated its 150th Commencement Exercises Sunday with 132 graduates from the Class of 2011 in a ceremony at the private school's campus in the Martinsville section of Bernards Township.

The ceremony was held in the school's Hauser auditorium, and included three graduates from Bridgewater.

The  is this year celebrating its 150th anniversary celebration. Founded by Dr. John Pingry in 1861 as a small boys' school  in Elizabeth, the institution grew into a co-educational independent K-12 country day school with more than 1,000 students at campuses in Short Hills and Martinsville. Grades 6-12 are located in the Martinsville campus.
