Winterguard Breaks Records in Recent Season

The BRHS band won several championships and other awards.

The Winterguard has continued its winning ways with a completion of its best season in history that ended in a final showcase at the MetLife stadium, performing the half-time show for the Jets game Dec. 11.

The band was undefeated in the USSBA and Band of America competition circuits in its recent season, marking the first time a New Jersey band has accomplished this in the 35-year history of the competitions.

In the 2011 season, the band earned medals at the BOA Regional Championships, and, on Sept. 24, the band won all caption awards and won class AAAA for large schools at the Pittsburgh BOA Regional. The team placed second overall.
