Somerset Patriots To Honor Teachers Of The Year

The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots will host special nights to recognize the Hunterdon, Middlesex and Somerset County schools’ Teachers of the Year.

The Patriots have invited Teachers of the Year from each school in the counties to attend a Teacher Appreciation Night at . The Patriots will recognize the teachers on the field in a pre-game ceremony beginning at approximately 6:40 p.m. on each county’s respective night.

The Patriots are providing tickets to the teachers, their guests and their classes to come out to the ballpark for these special nights.

The first night is scheduled for June 5 when the Patriots will welcome Hunterdon County Schools’ Teachers of the Year.

The Patriots and the Middlesex County Education Association will honor Middlesex County Teachers of the Year on June 6.

The Patriots and the Somerset County Education Association will honor Somerset County Teachers of the Year on June 7.

The Patriots are encouraging all teachers to come out to the game to support their peers. All teachers who show their school ID badge at the Patriots Ticket Office on game day will receive a $5 Upper Box ticket to the Teacher Appreciation Night for their county.

“We know how hard teachers work all year and we want to make sure they know that the community appreciates all that they do for our kids. These nights are designed as a special thank you to all teachers and to highlight those that received the recognition as their schools’ Teacher of the Year,” said Patrick McVerry, president and general manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
