The Sixth Annual Larry Cubas Memorial 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC) at 775 Talamini Road.
The tournament, open to the community, will have three divisions” Men’s Open, Women’s Open and Men’s Over 35. Each team in all divisions will play at least three games and each team member will receive a game jersey.
Deadline for team registration is Sept. 12.
The all-inclusive admission fee is $120 for a 3-person team and $160 for a 4-person team.
Check-in on Sept. 22 for the Men’s Over 35 division is from 8 to 9 a.m. while check-in for the Men and Women’s open will be from 11 a.m. to noon. All participating players must check in and have a photo ID.
Registration for a 3-point shooting contest is $10 per person and will take place during tournament.
The Larry Cubas Memorial 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament benefits The Larry Cubas Endowment Scholarship Fund. The fund was established in memory of Bridgewater resident Larry Cubas by his fellow JCC Basketball League members and the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum JCC. Mr. Cubas passed away in 2008. The fund provides financial assistance to high school students for their college education.
Prizes will be awarded to each team division winner.
