Bridgewater Field Hockey Stars Score Collegiate Athletic Honors

Erica Perrine and Carlee Dragon recognized after fall campaigns.

Two Bridgewater students playing collegiate field hockey have received honors for their contributions to their respective team's success.

Carlee Dragon, a senior at Long Island University, was named to Player of the Year for the Northeast 10 Conference, while Bucknell University senior Erica Perrine was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team.

Dragon's honor follows the LIU Post Pioneer's perfect 18-0 season.

A unanimous decision as a member of the first-team and a five-time NE-10 Player of the Week, Dragon is tops in the Northeast-10 and the nation with 75 points on 30 goals (six game-winners) and a conference-high 15 assists for the undefeated Pioneers, who won the Northeast-10 regular-season title with a flawless 10-0 record.

Savin received Northeast-10 Coach of the Year honors, as voted upon by her peers, as she has led the Pioneers to the top seed in the Northeast-10 Championship in their first year as an associate member with the conference in the sport of field hockey. Her squad is currently ranked third in the nation with a perfect 18-0 record, good for the most wins in program history.
